Governor Nathan Deal Event

I went to a dinner event with my mom and dad, and I met Governor Nathan Deal.  I also saw Congressman Westmoreland, State Senator Bill Jackson, and Congressional Candidate Lee Anderson.  We were at a big house and only people who were invited could come. 
I heard Governor Nathan Deal speak. I want to tell you a little about him.  Nathan Deal loves his job and tries his best.  He says we need good leaders and leaders that will help veto Obamacare.  He believes that Lee Anderson should be the next Congressman from the 12th district.  Some people ask Governor Deal, "How do I become a politician?"  His first answer is always, "Get a job and learn how to work!"  He also says that we need leaders that will help us. Governor Nathan Deal thinks that children need to be reading at a third grade level before they leave the third grade.  He believes reading mentors will help.
I also heard Congressman Westmoreland, and here are some of the things he said.  He said that the presidential election on November 6th is an important election.  He believes that we need to vote and try our best to support our favorite candidates running to be leaders.  He thinks that if a candidate is running to be a leader they need to vote as early as possible so people will follow their lead.  He also believes we need to help out in politics so we can help out our country.  We should vote and help spread the information about candidates so that others will realize that our candidates are good people to vote for.
These men are good men, and their beliefs and thoughts are great too.  I was so excited to meet Governor Nathan Deal and I even got my picture taken with him.

The Big Day

The Two Big People:
Today is a big day! It is the Presidential Election.  The two people running are, Republican Mitt Romney and Democrat Barrack Obama.  Obama is an incumbent.  An incumbent is a leader running again for the same office.  Incumbents are able to meet more people because more people know who they are.

Why You Should Vote:
On the big day you should vote because every vote counts.  If you don't vote that is one less vote for the candidate that you want.  Vote for who you want, not for who your friend wants.  To know who you want to vote vote for you should read about them, listen to the news and meet and hear them speak at rallies. 

My Opinion:
I like Mitt Romney. I am 9 so I can't vote, but if I could I would vote for Mitt Romney.  I would vote for him because he will balance the budget and repeal Obamacare.  He is also a Republican.

Make sure you vote for who you want today.  Don't wait.  Go vote.  Polls will be closing soon.  I hope you have voted.  Now we will wait to see who our next President is!

Rick W. Allen

I went to a CCRP meeting with my Dad.  I heard Rick W. Allen speak.  Rick Allen is running for Congress.  I will tell you a little about him. 

Rick W. Allen grew up on a Columbia County farm.  He says when he goes to the House he will lower the gas prices and will quit Obama Care.  He believes that we have too high of a budget, and that causes a spending problem.  He also doesn't mind taking risks if we have too.  Rick W. Allen thinks that we should not import our oil, but that we should drill in America.  He thinks that we should have no illegal immigrants, and should block the boarder to keep them from coming in to America illegally. He also believes that children today should be able to have the same opportunities that their parents have.

Lee Anderson for Congress

     I went to a Greater Columbia County Republican meeting with my  mom.  I had so much fun.  I heard Lee Anderson speak.  This post will tell you a little bit about that.


      Lee Anderson is running for congress.   He believes he does not know everything in the world. He says he is running to balance the budget because we have a really high budget that needs lowered.  He has experience to cut spending so he will be great at that job.  He also thinks us kids are very valuable.  He thinks people need education and that education is valuable.  His opinion on drilling oil is that we should have a pipe from Canada to the United States. That means we would work with Canada to drill our oil, and we wouldn't have to worry about importing our oil from countries that do not like us.  I agree with him.  He also believes that we should have no illegal immigrants. He believes that all illegal immigrants should be sent back home.  He says that some illegal immigrants aren't paying their taxes.

Lee Anderson wants to earn his vote.  I think that Lee Anderson is a great person.  He has good beliefs and opinions.  He is a deacon at his church, and is a Christian man.   He wants us to pray  that he will earn his vote.

Maria Sheffield for Congress

I went to a CCRP breakfast with my mom.  I heard Maria Sheffield speak.  She does have  pretty good ideas and opinions.
        Maria Sheffield is trying to run against John Barrow.  She thinks  Democrats should go home.  She also thinks we should have freedom.  She believes there is nothing more important then our country.  She loves our country and wants so much to defend it.  We should also have a good budget. Her opinion is that no illegal immigrants should be aloud because they do not pay their taxes so the government runs out of money to pay for  jobs and stuff like that.  She thinks education  should be left to the local part of the government.  Our energy policy should not depend on other countries that do not like us.
